CAIS and Kreo: how they differ

Published:

A factual comparison of CAIS and Kreo for contractors and quantity surveyors: inputs, outputs, BIM, pricing and regions, from each company’s own pages.

Written by CAIS. Facts about Kreo come only from its own pages, read on 15 October 2026 and listed under Sources. Products and prices change: check them before you decide.

The short answer

Kreo is a cloud takeoff and estimating platform from a London company, with AI measurement on 2D drawings and a separate BIM takeoff for IFC models. CAIS is built for Saudi and regional contractors, centred on BOQ pricing, with experimental QTO, planning and contract review, in Arabic and English.

When Kreo may suit you better

If your team measures 2D CAD drawings such as DWG and DXF day to day, works in English or French, and maintains its own cost database, Kreo’s takeoff and estimating workflow is built around that.

When CAIS may suit you better

If your tenders arrive as a BOQ to price, if your team works in Arabic, or if you want pricing, planning and contract review in one place with every output open to review, CAIS is built for that. Its QTO is experimental, so plan to check its quantities.

Compare them on your own work

A short trial says more than any comparison page.

  • Run the same small drawing set or BOQ through each tool.
  • Measure the time to a reviewed result, not to a first draft.
  • Check how each handles your measurement standard and your language.
