Contract administration

Contract administration from your project documents

CAIS helps commercial and project teams review a construction contract: extracted provisions, obligations, payment controls, notice requirements and risks, with an Excel report and source evidence for human review.

Sign in to review a contract

For contract and commercial review teams

Contract administrators, quantity surveyors, project managers and consultant or employer teams can use the service to organise an initial document review. State the party you represent, the review purpose and the review date. Those choices provide context; they do not establish contractual rights or the governing law.

What the review organises

Provisions and obligations

Extracts contract provisions and particular conditions, maps responsibilities and identifies provisions that need attention. Check every material finding against the supplied contract and its amendments.

Payment and notice controls

Organises extracted payment terms and notice requirements for review. Dates, trigger events, retention and advance recovery must be checked against the actual contract and project records.

Risks and source evidence

Produces a risk register, review actions and source evidence. Reading coverage, missing information and low-confidence extraction matter as much as the summary; inspect them before relying on a finding.

Supply the full contractual context

You provide

  • The contract conditions as a PDF, with the appropriate project, market and review context.
  • Particular conditions, contract data or appendices containing the project-specific terms; add specifications and drawings where relevant.
  • An optional BOQ in an accepted format to support commercial review. Check the file and plan limits shown in the protected form.

Contract / conditions: PDF · BOQ: XLSX, XLS, CSV, JSON, PDF

You review

  • An Excel workbook covering metadata, obligations, risks, payment controls, notices and review actions.
  • Source page, clause and evidence references where available, together with confidence and missing-data flags.
  • A review view for the completed job in CAIS. The output is an analysis aid, not an issued notice, certified payment or legal opinion.

From document intake to a checked review

  1. Confirm context and documents

Sign in and state your role, purpose and date. Add the contract and project-specific amendments in the protected form.

  2. Run the document review

The analysis extracts information from the supplied documents and reports processing and review status.

  3. Inspect evidence and coverage

Download the workbook or open the review. Check source references, missing fields, incomplete reading and any extraction warnings.

  4. Have the responsible person decide

A contract or legal specialist confirms interpretation, deadlines and required action before a notice, valuation or claim is issued.

Human review and limitations

  • The service reviews the supplied documents. Missing particular conditions, schedules, amendments or project records can materially change the result.
  • Document classification is a starting point. A recognised standard form does not mean its amendments or applicable law have been correctly interpreted.
  • AI extraction can be incomplete or incorrect. Reading limits and extraction warnings must be checked; an unfilled value is not proof that the contract has no such term.
  • Verify deadlines against the clause, triggering event, correspondence and applicable requirements. CAIS does not issue notices, certify entitlement or guarantee legal compliance.
  • Current contract intake is limited to the markets offered by the form: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Qatar, Oman and Jordan. Feature availability and file limits depend on the account and plan.

Keep contract documents in the protected workflow

The document review, job results and downloads require authentication and access checks. This public page explains the service without publishing any uploaded contract. Upload only documents you are authorised to process and remove unnecessary personal or confidential details. AI providers may process relevant excerpts to deliver the analysis. Read the privacy and retention information before submitting.
